Data methodology, earnings model, and how our statistics work

What is CamRankings?

CamRankings provides comprehensive, real-time statistics and rankings for cam models across the top streaming platforms: Chaturbate, Stripchat, BongaCams, and LiveJasmin.

We currently track 973,723 models with data collected every 15 minutes, providing accurate insights into viewer counts, streaming hours, consistency scores, and estimated earnings.

Data Collection Methodology

Our automated system polls each platform's public API every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day. Each poll captures a snapshot of every currently active model, recording:

  • Online/offline status
  • Concurrent viewer count
  • Room subject and tags
  • HD streaming status

These snapshots are aggregated daily, then rolled up into 30-day statistics. With 96 data points per model per day, this produces a granular, accurate picture of streaming activity over time.

How Statistics Are Computed

  • Average Viewers — Mean of all viewer counts across snapshots where the model was online
  • Peak Viewers — Highest single viewer count recorded in the last 30 days
  • Streaming Hours — Each 15-minute poll where the model is online counts as 0.25 hours. Daily hours are summed, then averaged over active days
  • Consistency Score (0–100) — Measures schedule regularity using the coefficient of variation of daily streaming hours. A model who streams 4 hours every day scores higher than one who streams 12 hours one day and 1 hour the next
  • Streak — Consecutive calendar days with at least one online snapshot
  • Viewer Trend — Percentage change between 7-day and 30-day average viewers. Positive means growing audience
  • Schedule Heatmap — Aggregated from hourly poll counts across each day of the week, normalized to a 0–100 intensity scale

Earnings Estimates

Earnings are estimates based on a tiered rate model calibrated against publicly available earnings data. The model reflects a well-documented pattern: smaller audiences have higher per-viewer engagement and tip rates, while larger audiences contain a higher proportion of non-tipping viewers.

The formula is: estimated earnings = average viewers × hours streamed × tier rate. All figures shown are gross revenue before platform fees, which typically range from 40% to 60% depending on the platform. Actual take-home pay will be lower.

These estimates are approximations. Actual earnings vary based on content type, audience demographics, token/tip culture on each platform, private shows, and other revenue streams not captured by viewer counts alone.

Limitations

  • Data is only captured when models are in public rooms. Private shows, offline tips, and subscription revenue are not reflected
  • Viewer counts represent a point-in-time snapshot every 15 minutes, not a continuous measurement. Brief spikes or dips between polls may be missed
  • Earnings estimates are modeled approximations, not actual reported income. They should be treated as rough indicators, not precise figures
  • Platform APIs may occasionally report incorrect data for suspended or disabled accounts. Models averaging over 22 hours per day are automatically excluded as data anomalies

Data Sources

All data displayed on CamRankings is sourced exclusively from publicly available platform APIs. We do not store images, videos, real names, or any private information. Only publicly broadcast metadata (usernames, viewer counts, online status, tags) is collected. For more details, see our Data & Privacy page.
